Hugh Duff opened his Tinnahinch Fly Fishing
Centre situated in the Dargle Valley, Enniskerry
at the end of 2009. The 4 acre spring fed lake is set
in a quiet, mature wooded valley filled with hard fighting,
fully finned rainbow trout, many of which are over 12lb
in weight.
The Log House Company were given the task of redesigning
and constructing the clubhouse for this wonderful project
which incorporates a huge function room with 8 metre
laminated beams to allow for the 6 metre high apex ceiling.
In this space we constructed a mezzanine which added
30 m2 to the 80 m2 clubroom.
We used a Morrissey tile on the roof roof and were
fortunate once again to avail of Macs Salvage for cast
iron radiators and light fittings for the interior.
We used 140 x 180 mm solid log walls with solid pine
floors and the floor area comes in at 250 m2 with 100
m2 of decking.
Hugh found a local stone mason to build the magnificent
granite and brick chimney.
