The Log House Company
designed this very functional and attractive 2 bed summer
weekend house for a very satisfied client to replace
a dilapidated mobile home. The finished house is cosier,
more attractive, has better quality finish and comes
in cheaper than a mobile.
The roof is a polyester Duggan corrigated steel roof
with single spans. There is 150 mm of Warmcell insulation
in the suspended timber floors and 200 mm in the roof.
A counter batten between the corrigated roof and the
Solitec breather membrane leaves an air gap so there
is no condensation.
The decks are very functional with a strong hand and
foot rail. We bolted the posts to a concrete footing
and did not include spindles so as not to spoil the
view of the Dublin mountains.
Double glazed pine doors and windows
from Aru Joinery add to the feeling of quality and good
looks.
